Interbake Charged with Violating Federal Law

On August 1, 2008, the National Labor Relations Board, Region 5, issued a scathing indictment (Consolidated Complaint) against Interbake/Weston's which charges the Company with blatantly violating Federal U.S. labor law stemming from the on-going organizing drive at Weston's Front Royal, Va. baking facility.

Specifically, the NLRB charged the Company with:

  • illegally terminating employees;

  • illegally putting workers under surveillance;

  • illegally threatening employees with loss of benefits;

  • illegally disciplining employees; and

  • illegally interrogating employees.
